Md. Atiqur Rahman, a journalist from The Business Post, was killed in an attack by quota reform activists in Shanir Akhra, Jatrabari.

Protesters brutally beat Pradeep Kumar Bhowmik, Raiganj correspondent for the Daily Khoborpatra, to death while covering the anti-quota movement in Sirajganj. Several other journalists and media workers were attacked, and their vehicles and cameras were vandalized.

In Nalitabari, Sherpur, senior journalist M. Suruzzaman, who serves as the Financial Secretary of Nalitabari Press Club, correspondent for the Daily Janakantha, news editor of Sherpur Times.com, and district representative for BD24Live.com, was attacked by miscreants.

Rahannuma Sarah, a journalist from the private television channel G-TV, died mystirously and her body was found in Dhaka’s Hatirjheel.
